Established in 2004, Al-Quds for Democracy and Dialogue is an independent nongovernmental non-profit Palestinian organisation. It promotes democracy, reconciliation, dialogue and civic participation, locally and internationally, in the development process of local communities. Through its programmes it helps Palestinian youths become more equipped in order to make a difference in their surrounding environment.

AFDD implements social, cultural and sports-related programmes to foster positive dialogue and healthy active living. It's activities include training, educational programmes, interactive learning, research, TOT, and advocacy programmes with nonviolence, peace culture, democracy and dialogue as their core. Some of the current initiatives are:

  • Sports in the Service of Peace: Use of sports as a tool to build a common platform for contact and interaction;
  • Youth Exchanges: summer programmes organised jointly by The Peres Center for Peace introducing disadvantaged Palestinian youths to their counterparts in Israel.
