Afghanistan Democracy and Development Organization (ADDO) is registered as a non-governmental and non profit organization with the Ministry of Economy in NGO Affairs Department on 2014. The Organization aims to promote democracy values and human rights through building the capacity of Afghan citizen, conduct research, advocacy and represent a better Afghanistan in the world. ADDO is an experienced organization with a qualified and experienced management team. ADDO is working with policy makers , CSOs, women groups, youths groups and children to improve the on going democracy and development conditions in both rural and urban areas of Afghanistan through conducting training, research, legislation monitoring, advocacy, capacity building, protection of environment, awareness rising, campaign and networking. The organization is uniquely formed to work for strengthening of democracy values and peace building through education, research and advocacy in Afghanistan.
ADDO vision is to create a situation: economically self-sufficient, environmentally sound, politically democratic, socially peaceful and pluralist and culturally diversified; where human rights are understood, respected and monitored by the people; the society is governed by the rule of law and on the basis of democracy; and target communities have reached a sustainable level of social and economic self-autonomy.
And ADDO mission is to reach its vision through intervention that encompasses: education, advocacy, research, Knowledge creation, awareness building, empowering civil society and strategic measures towards sustainable development and good governance for lasting peace and democracy in Afghanistan.
ADDO seeks the full application of international human rights standards in Afghanistan and implementing of Rule of Law by educating the public in human rights and monitoring the improvement of the citizen rights situation in the country.
