PEAD has implemented many projects around peace education, particularly in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Peace Education and Development Foundation (PEAD) is a training and advocacy organisation committed to the values of peace, non-violence, human rights and democracy. PEAD works through self-funded and sponsored activities. The Foundation has implemented several projects in the areas of peace education, in particular in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. However, the Foundation has presence across Pakistan in over 25 districts.

PEAD Foundation envisions and strives for Pakistan which is peaceful, democratic and sustainable by educating and empowering the people of Pakistan for a democratic, tolerant and progressive country by promoting values of democracy, responsible citizenship and social cohesion.

Also, in collaboration with the Save the Children (Sweden), PEAD worked on a peace education project in six government middle & and secondary schools and six madrassas in the district of Peshawar. In August 2010, PEAD Foundation organised a very productive consultation with the civil society on 'Peace Education Programs – an assessment'.
