Juanita Esguerra-Rezk is a Master of Global Affairs Student at the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on the intersection between peacebuilding, development and environmental issues. Prior to graduate school, Juanita worked for five years with the Government of Colombia and the European Commission Humanitarian Office supporting the reintegration of former combatants, reparations for victims of armed conflict in Colombia and humanitarian assistance for internally displaced persons and refugees. She is currently supporting the monitoring of the Peace Agreement in Colombia conducted by the Peace Accords Matrix affiliated to the Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies.
