Voz di Paz – Iniciativa para a Consolidacao de Paz (Voice of Peace - Initiative for Pecebuilding) was started in 2007 by NGO Interpeace in co-operation with the national research Institute INEP. Its overall aim is to contribute to the peaceful development of Guinea Bissau. Its programme of work includes the following components:

  1. A conflict analysis based on a nationwide consultation process with a broad range of stakeholders, called the ‘peace-mapping’ phase.
  2. A ‘formulation of peace visions and solution phase’ in which the national consultation process is discussed to find solutions to the identified causes of conflict in the form of policies, laws and public programmes.
  3. As the first evaluation was carried out in 2008, this evaluation covered broadly the project period of 2009-2010. The aim of the evaluation exercise was to identify achievements, constraints and challenges.
