Press for Peace was established in 1999. It initially focused on local and burning issues of that time. The priorities were set to focus on condemned and sad plight of different segments of society including working journalists, prisoners, minorities, highly vulnerable children and women in Pakistan administrated  Kashmir.

PFP organises seminars on issues of peace, such as the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan. It also organises celebrations for the International Day of Peace on 21 September.

The PFP website contains information on its work and the conflict in Kashmir.
