The Bangladesh Inter-religious Council for Peace and Justice (BICPAJ), a religious non-profit NGO founded in 1983, was established by a group of Muslims and Christians committed to promoting peacebuilding in Bangladesh. The goal of the organisation is to promote respectful dialogue and peaceful coexistence between religious communities thus enhancing mutual understanding and friendly relations in the country. 

BICPAJ holds monthly meetings to discuss issues of justice and peace and operates projects for youth and children to encourage them to think conscientiously about peace and harmony. The organisation's peace education centre has staff trained in conflict resolution, education, and research. Training programmes focus on young people, women and ethnic tribal people of Bangladesh.

The objectives of the organisation are to: 

• Provide leadership, coherence and direction to the initiatives and involvements already occurring in the country;
• Make a sustained intellectual contribution to the furtherance of inter-religious dialogue;
• Promote international research in inter-religious dialogue and co-operation;
• Serve as a resource for interfaith organisations and committees in the Asia-Pacific region with regard to inter-religious dialogue;
• Develop co-operative links with non-government organisations working in the area of interfaith relations.

BICPAG is a member of Pax Christi.
