Citizens’ Accord Forum Between Jews & Arabs in Israel (CAF)

Accord Forum is built around the idea that with the increasing polarisation of Jewish and Arab citizens in Israel, the need for 'accord' and 'normalisation' has become paramount.
Last updated: November 2017

The Citizens' Accord Forum for Jews and Arabs in Israel (CAF) was established with the vision of building just and equal relationships of accord and stability among Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens.

Following the events of October 2000, and the increasing polarisation between Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel, CAF saw the need for "accord" and "normalisation" becoming paramount.

CAF’s mission therefore is to bridge the gaps between Israel's Jewish and Arab communities, and strive to implement systematic changes to improve the status of Israel's Arab citizens. This is addressed through their work in five targeted areas: advocacy, education, local & community development, media, and networking.

Today, CAF’s three main activity areas are: Civic EngagementPolicy and Legislation, and  Education and Leadership Development. These three activity areas collectively engage all members of society including youth, women and men, decision makers, educators, religious leaders, and academics from every geographic region of Israel.
