Maboko Na Maboko (English: Hand in Hand) promotes good health, youth entrepreneurship and social cohesion among communities in CAR. Building a mentality of "hand in hand, we can do better", it supports small businesses as well as raising awareness of the role of communities as actors for the future, including the need to take care of the health - preventing malaria and other diseases.
Linked to the current conflict in CAR, Maboko Na Maboko is working on social cohesion by organising discussion groups in the 8th district of Bangui. They aim to reduce tension between Muslims and Christians in the district. The project has so far run in 18 different neighbourhoods in the city, reaching more than 700 people.
