Peace Day Philly is the Philadelphia region initiative for the United Nations International Day of Peace. Peace Day Philly promotes, collaborates on and offers programs related to personal, local and global peace on and around the International Day of Peace, September 21. Peace Day Philly is a volunteer run grassroots initiative. We became a non profit in 2013 and became affiliated with the United Nations in 2018. PDP has presented a wide range or programs related to peace. Peacebuilder Panels, speakers, films, service and community projects, concerts, etc. PDP also engages the Police Department (unique nationally) and the Philadelphia School District.
