Sudan Sunrise is a movement of individuals from diverse religious backgrounds and identities working to facilitate reconciliation efforts to ensure lasting peace in Sudan and South Sudan. Sudan Sunrise supports grass roots projects on education, reconciliation and community building that foster peace and understanding between diverse religious, ethnic and tribal communities.

The Sudan Sunrise movement began in 2004 when Southern Sudanese delivered aid to Darfurian refugees.Through grass roots reconciliation, education and community building, the organisation aims to highlight examples of peace and forgiveness between former enemies as alternatives to the history of violence in the two countries.
