Teen Confront Organization (TEENCO) was founded in Juba, South Sudan, in 2012. TEENCO was conceived and established in response to the unique needs of women and young people in South Sudan by a group of young people wanting to contribute to shaping the future of South Sudan. The organisation works to support youth groups in South Sudan through advocacy, empowerment, capacity building, and networking activities.
The focus of TEENCO's activities is working with children and young people in four thematic areas:
- Peacebuilding and conflict mitigation;
- Child protection;
- Gender-based violence; and
- Youth life skills.
TEENCO operates in three states of South Sudan - Central Equatoria, Eastern Equatoria, and Jonglei. It is expecting to expand its activities to other states in South Sudan.
