Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) was initiated by renowned Pakistani singer, Abrar-ul-Haq, to foster talent and excellence in young people in Pakistan, and turn it into tangible action for the benefit of their community. The YPP has a National Youth Assembly as well as provincial, district and tehsil level assemblies for young people to discuss local and national issues of importance.

Pakistan currently has more young people than at any other time in its history, and it is expected to continue to grow. More than half of Pakistan’s population is under 20 years old, and 25 million are aged 15-24. YYP is based on a vision of empowering young people in Pakistan with an understanding of the importance of their role in the community. The key purpose of YYP is to create rewards and opportunities for education, leadership, and a positive role in their communities, with the ultimate goal of spreading the idea of democracy.
