Halima is a Barrister & Solicitor in Nigeria with particular interest in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution as an increasingly popular option that allows parties to resolve their disputes outside of court in a cooperative manner.[[]]Halima has recently completed a program working at the United Nations Ombudsman and Mediation Services Department in New York, providing confidential, off-the-record and impartial assistance to help arrive at informal resolution of disputes related to employment with the UN.[[]]Halima is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in the field of Diplomacy and International Affairs and a Chartered Conciliator and Mediator Certification Training in Mediation, International Conflict Management & Leadership at the Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators (ICMC) in Nigeria and she hopes to receive an International Mediation Accreditation from the Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in the future.[[]]She holds a (B.L) Certificate of Practice from the Nigerian Law School, Master’s Degree (LLM) in International Law from Kings College London (University of London) and a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Hertfordshire UK.[[]]Halima is a member of the World Mediation Organization, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Nigerian Bar Association.
