Mugisho Ndabuli and Bahati Valerie

Mugisho Ndabuli and Bahati Valerie are the co-founders of COFAPRI. Mugisho holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies. He is currently working towards his PhD in Gender and Development with the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Mugisho and Banati were married in the DRC in 2001, but relocated to neighbouring Rwanda because of the ongoing conflict in the Congo. Their deep commitment to help suffering village women and girls back in the DRC led them to set up COFAPRI in November 2009. COFAPRI is based in Bukavu in eastern DRC. Bahati and Mugisho have two children.
