Budo for Peace (BFP) brings together young people from conflict areas to learn and practice traditional Japanese budo (martial arts).  The organisation believes that assimilation of Budo values and their application can help to break down fear and build trust between people. It therefore uses traditional martial arts to create a more accepting global society. It educates youth on tolerance and non-violence by focusing on respect, harmony, self-control and self-improvement.

The programme is comprised of physical trainings and educational workshops. It aims to strengthen participants' physical, mental and cognitive abilities.
