Blue Veins believe women are among the most vulnerable victims in war and conflict situations, yet they are also often the ones that trigger peace mechanisms. Blue Veins is working to uphold women's rights and streamline women's role in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

Blue Veins is contributing to:

• Ensure that women play a key role in the design and implementation of post-conflict resolution and peacebuilding activities;
• Support and strengthen grassroots women's in their peacebuilding efforts by triggering community lead initiatives;
• Strengthen the protection and representation of IDPs through advocacy efforts in UN humanitarian clusters;
• Establish mechanisms for enforcing and monitoring international instruments for the protection of women's rights.
