Chaford (Charity for Rural Development) Uganda works to promote rural development and peacebuilding in post-conflict northern Uganda. The vision of the organisation is peaceful and empowered communities actively participating in post-conflict recovery and development of their societies. The mission of Chaford is to transform the lives of the communities affected by conflict through socio-economic interventions and good governance for sustainable development.

Activities include livelihood and enterprise development, agricultural production and food security, economic empowerment for women and human rights, and good governance, HIV/AIDS and education support.
