Femmes et Education des Adultes (FEDA) was created in 2007 with the ambition of providing education and income generation opportunities to women, who as a result of the conflict were denied an education were in need support to help re-building their lives. FEDA believes that education is an important tool for transformation.

Examples of the organisation's peacebuilding activities include:

  • 200 young people, women, local leaders, civil society organisations and representatives of communities were trained for peace as 'peace catalysts'.
  • Thousands of community members organised into youth peacebuilding networks
  • 100 participants have been trained in the areas of leadership, positive conflict management, non-violence communication, negotiation and mediation.

In addition to peacebuilding the organisation aims to promote gender equality and increase opportunities for girls through education.
