Institute for Peace and Justice acts as an interfaith voice for peace, justice, and care for the earth.
Last updated: يناير 2018

For over 40 years, IPJ is an independent, interfaith, not-for-profit organization that creates resources, provides learning experiences, and advocates publicly for alternatives to violence and injustice at the individual, family, community, institutional and global levels. IPJ has been an interfaith voice for peace, justice, and care for the earth, focusing especially on Dr. King's great triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism.

Some of IPJ Projects include:

  • IPJ's continued advocacy work centers around issues of racial and economic justice, global poverty issues, and U.S. foreign policy through our website, letters/online messages, and visits at Congressional offices.
  • Reintroduction of "PEACE PIECES", now to be a Quarterly Online Newsletter addressing a variety of peace and justice themes/issues.
  • SOS (Solving Our Situations), a unique problem solving tool created by inmate facilitators of the Violent Offenders Program. IPJ works closely with CWIT(Center for Women In Transition), teaching classes assisting women ex-offenders and their teenaged children to better process negative situations.
  • 40CORNERS, "Young artists for justice and peace" use a combination of dance, choir, drama, and spoken word in an exciting new street theatre project interpreting Dr. Martin Luther King's dream of peace and nonviolence on 40 street corners in the St. Louis area.
