The Interfaith Peace Project helps people cope with fears, prejudices and stereotypes concerning people of different races, religions and cultures.
Last updated: نوفمبر 2017

The Interfaith Peace Project offers home-based educational outreach to help people cope with fears, prejudices and stereotypes concerning people of different races, religions and cultures. They arrange for people of different backgrounds to meet and engage with each other as they strive for mutual understanding and civil cooperation. In 2016, their programs reached around 4,000 people.

The organisation also supports efforts of women everywhere to claim their full human dignity. They empower women who seek to build a better world based on the human rights of all people to live in dignity and peace. They are dedicated to challenging sexism and patriarchy as a struggle for justice and peace. The organisation has three centres in Northern California, all of which provide a safe space for individuals and groups to gather, retreat and study.

Since religion is often misused in the pursuit of prejudice, stereotyping and violence, their 'Study of Religion and Violence' program explores the causes of such misuse. They put a particular emphasis on sacred writings that are used to support the domination of women and children.
