The centre assists the city's residents in becoming responsible active partners in shaping the city's future and the development of their communities.
Last updated: نوفمبر 2019

The Jerusalem Intercultural Centre was founded in 1999 with the intent of assisting the city's residents, from diverse identities, in becoming responsible active partners in shaping the city's future and the development of their communities. The Centre aspires to be a professional body that will be able to assist professionals, activists and organisations that can promote community dialogue in the city.

The Centre's approach encourages cooperation and support between the different organisations that can help create a city that involves its residents. Most of the Centre's projects include additional partners. As part of its mission, the Centre conducts training programmes and provides professional guidance in areas associated with professional project management, community dialogue and working within multi-cultural frameworks.

In addition to its primary mission - dialogue between different identities in the region - the Centre has become a resource for other sites in Israel and around the world. Therefore, in collaboration with other bodies, the Centre shares its professional skills with other places outside Jerusalem. In doing so there is an aspiration for an exchange of knowledge and expertise between Jerusalem and other places dealing with similar challenges in Israel and abroad.
