This forum was organised in collaboration with Search for Common Ground in Khyber Agency. The forum consisted of about 25 participants from various occupations to discuss pressing challenges and a way out through integrated approaches. The participants agreed on one point in the agenda in particular, that the only solution for restoring peace in Khyber Agency is to educate the people.

To analyse and diagnose the issues confronted by the people of FR Kohat a District Dialogue Forum was conducted with the support of Search for Common Ground to ensure their basic rights. People from diverse groups were invited to share their views for the development of the region. The most pressing issues of the region were illiteracy and ignorance of the people regarding their basic human rights.

To mobilise people and youth Khadim Ul Khalaq Foundation conducted several awareness sessions in Khyber Agency on the themes of promoting peace through education, women empowerment, volunteerism and youth empowerment.

  1. Pluralism and Coexistence

The KKF team organised a gathering on “Pluralism and Coexistence” for the youth and elders of FATA. People from Christian, Muslim, Hindu and Sikh communities participated in this gathering. The guest speaker for the event was Dervaish Afridi, Fulbright Scholar and PhD Scholar. Around 30 people from diverse occupations participated in this event. This activity was the first of its kind for the people of FATA where people from different communities gathered, ate on one table, shared their ideas and planned for more inclusive engagements. It was because of this program that one of our media personnel developed contacts with the representatives of minorities and invited them to advocate on a radio program on Minority day August 11 and August 14.
