Sadaka Reut works for social and political change in Israel through the promotion of a bi-national, multicultural and egalitarian society based on social justice and solidarity.

It educates and empowers Jewish and Palestinian Israeli youth and university students to pursue change through partnership.

Founded in 1983 by a group of Jewish and Palestinian Israeli university students who shared the vision of a better future for both communities, it believes that the only way to confront and overcome the antagonism between Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel is by promoting joint partnership models for change. Its grassroots dialogue and leadership development programs seek to address the deep-seated injustices caused by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and create a new generation of young activists promoting a shared society based on equality, solidarity, and justice.

Sadaka Reut seeks to provide the participants of its projects with adequate knowledge on the conflict and its history and the necessary tools and experience to engage in joint social change initiatives, building alternative models for interaction between the two groups. It develops unique projects in Israel, including Palestinian-Jewish youth encounter and leadership groups, workshops in high schools across the country, a full time volunteer community and leadership training program, community empowerment work in the mixed city of Jaffa and an annual summer camp. All of its activities are designed to enrich and train youth and young adults as agents for social change and to empower weakened communities from all sectors of society.
