The association Tourism for Peace and Development is a non-profit organization, which has been actively participating in the confidence-building initiatives in Georgia. More specifically, the organization participated in the Georgian – Abkhaz - Ossetian meetings organized by the International Alert and the association “Peaceful and Business  Caucasus” (PBC).

In 2014 ,the association held an important festival: National Cuisine Festival in Perevi (Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone) with financial support EU / UNDP joint initiative  COBERM 2 

The purpose of the project was to promote inter-cultural dialogue and to contribute to restoration of trust and help develop Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian cooperation through popularization of traditional dishes.

Local NGOs, representatives of business sector, and experts on the national cuisine participated in the festival, along with representatives of Georgian government, international organizations and representatives of embassies.

The festival gathered more than 2000 persons.
