Akhter Hameed Khan Resource Centre (AHKRC) is engaged in evidenced based research on youth, aid effectiveness, social accountability, sustainable solutions, participatory development and development innovations.

AHKRC has introduced a course on Justice and Peace in Pakistan in collaboration with Professor Maggie Ronkin of Georgetown University and another course on social development in Pakistan with Harvard University. The peace course is for the students of Georgetown University and it virtually connects students with leaders in Pakistan.

It has also launched an MA program on rural development with the International Islamic University Islamabad. These academic programs have helped the Centre to build local body of knowledge and organize a community of knowledge based development professionals.
