The Associative Radio Kasserine FM, K-FM is the main and biggest project of the organisation Association Chaanbi pour la Promotion de la Culture Numérique et Multimedia in Kasserine.

The radio station was created on January 7 2011 in Kasserine region by Mr Ali Rebah , and operated as a pirate radio station until it received permission for its first legal broadcast on December 11, 2014 by the responsible body HAICA. It made its first live broadcast through the National Office of Television Broadcasting in August 2015.

The station aims to provide a space for dialogue as a key element of democracy in Kasserine and nationwide, allowing for fair and transparent debate on relevant local issues.

It has developed a wide range of programmes, prepared and presented by volunteer and independent young Tunisian broadcasters. K-FM has a group of 20 such broadcasters, who work to converse with and have an impact on the public.

There is also a set of external broadcasters and reporters who contribute by organising programmes with schools, universities, other educational institutions and local civil society organisations.
