CRESFED conducts research on social, economic and development issues in Haiti.

Le Centre de recherche et de formation économique et sociale pour le développement (Centre for Social and Economic Research and Training for Development, CRESFED) is an NGO founded in 1986.

It conducts research, analysis, debates, and youth leadership programs, all with the objective of promoting citizen participation in democracy and national issues in order to support the development of Haiti.

Main objectives

  • To analyse the functioning of different local and state structures in Haiti;
  • To aid in the training of members of the democratic and development movement;
  • To promote the dissemination of scientific information for its effective implementation in national debates;
  • To accompany and support dynamic communities;

CRESFED aims to extend its scope to the national level in human rights, social, economic and cultural issues, through local authorities and local elected officials, community leaders and local organisations.
