Fashoda Youth Forum (FYF) was founded in 1999 to contribute to the process of nation building and the improvement of the socio-economic well-being of people in South Sudan. Their activities include community-based peacebuilding and reconciliation initiatives. The organisation's other areas of work include food security, civic education, water and sanitation, education, environmental health, health and HIV/Aids, and addressing child protection issues in the community.

Much of their activity is in Upper Nile State, with some work in Central Equatoria. In all their work, FYF aims to enhance community self-reliance in order to reduce the severity of poverty, specifically by achieving sustainable improvement in the quality of rural livelihoods, and to promote peaceful coexistence among communities.
