JECDEP works to improve the socio-economic development of populations in Mali.

Jeunesse et Culture pour un Développement Participatif (JECDEP) is an organisation that was created in 1996. JECDEP's mission is to contribute to the socio-economic development of populations in intervention zones through:

  • Education and training 
  • Promotion of a culture of peace and conflict management 
  • Promotion of gender equality
  • Health 
  • Advocacy 
  • Support to the decentralisation process 
  • Support for good governance

The organisation's objectives are to contribute to the fight against poverty by the lasting improvement of living conditions of the populations through help in organisation, initiation and the implementation of development in Mali. It also seeks to improve the performance of actors by intervening at the critical stages of development.
