PRODEPAZ advocates for overall human development and communitarian empowerment as a means to defeat obstacles that impede the peace process in Colombia.

The Programa de Desarrollo para la Paz (PRODEPAZ) conceived, promoted and created by civil organizations and institutions dedicated to unite and consolidate public, private and community efforts aimed at peace in the nation.

The programme has its roots in local and regional processes aimed at promoting a culture of life, social integration, a sense of regional identity, the generation of wealth, the improvement of the quality of life and the creation of structures for participatory democracy.

PRODEPAZ was founded in 1999 in the department of Antioquia during a period of conflict that demanded the creation of initiatives aimed at contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the local population.

Vision

It promotes public, private and community efforts for the consolidation of peace in the country.

Objectives

Institutionalize a sustainable and comprehensive human development program at the national, regional and local levels that, with the participation of all citizens, institutions and social figures, provides a dignified life, allows the development of productive activities and the opening of spaces in which peacebuilding processes can take place.
