It is TransConflict Serbia's assertion that the successful transformation of conflict requires a multi-dimensional approach that engages with and aims at transforming the very interests, relationships, discourses and structures that underpin and fuel outbreaks of low- and high-intensity violence. TransConflict Serbia currently focuses on four specific programme areas:
- Institution Building;
- Economic Development;
- Human Security; and
- Transformative Mediation.
TransConflict Serbia established the Global Coalition for Conflict Transformation (GCCT), comprised of organisations committed to upholding and implementing the Principles of Conflict Transformation. The GCCT's mission is to raise awareness and understanding about conflict transformation, facilitate theoretical and policy-oriented debate on conflict transformation, advocate for greater support for conflict transformation processes and catalyse the sharing of best practice between practitioners.
"Creating a New Generation of Women Leaders in Serbia and Kosovo" has been one of the key projects implemented by TransConflict Serbia, the purpose of which is the establishment and strengthening of links of cooperation between Serbian and Kosovar businesswomen. The project was initiated only a few months after the signing of the Brussels Agreement in April 2013, and has until now included over 200 businesswomen from Serbia and Kosovo, respectively.
