Aides aux Personnes Démunies (APED) is a non-governmental, humanitarian, apolitical and non-confessional organization working in east DR Congo.

Since 2009, APED as worked to seek rapid and sustainable solutions to the various problems affecting vulnerable populations in DR Congo.

APED ensures the involvement of community members in this process, in order to take positive action against the risks that threaten the well-being of children and other vulnerable people.

It is also a development organization whose programs are oriented in the fields of protection and education; water, sanitation, and hygiene; health/nutrition; and food security/environment.
