Ebhar Foundation is a cultural non-profit organisation. It seeks to 2002, the organisation seeks to empower young people and children to express creatively in accordance with the rules of human rights by promoting technical and expressive skills in the fields of theatre and publishing. The organisation envisions an open Yemeni society believing in creativity and freedom of expression.

Objectives

• To empower talented young people to write and paint and reach the level of professionalism in producing works directed to children;
• To raise awareness of human rights through theatrical performance;
• To raise awareness of the importance of the development of children’s reading skills in public schools.

Recent Peacebuilding Work

• Peace Bridge activity workshop of fine art for 30 children from Yemen, Iraq and Palestine through which the children sent a message to the world about peace.
• Festival entitled "More Humane World". Provided an experience for young people in the field of plastic art and photography, with participation of Yemeni youth and  young people from other countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Algeria and France. Together the aim was to present a picture of world peace. The beneficiaries of the project were Yemeni communities.
• Storyteller program, hosted by the Tunisian artist Abdul Razzaq Kamon, training twenty young men and women. The project sought to represent citizenship in a unique way. This project demonstrated the importance of popular Yemen, Arab and global stories to provide an awareness of the value of affiliation, citizenship, peace, tolerance and human rights. The beneficiaries of the project were schools and communities.
