The Syrian NGO Alliance is a voluntary body, governed by membership criteria that comply with international standards. SNA aims to effectively participate in decision making for a better effective, qualitative, equitable and efficient humanitarian response. The purpose is to provide a joint platform for SNGOs to collaborate and build consensus about the strategic issues confronting Syria Humanitarian Response. The SNA aspires to be an inclusive, representative and independent alliance that is out in front on key humanitarian issues and recognized as a leading actor in the humanitarian community for Syria, helping to enable a functional, integrated response architecture that better identifies and serves the most vulnerable.

Aims

The Alliance aims to lead, manage and supervise the humanitarian response to the Syrian Crisis.

Its purpose is to increase the efficiency of Syrian organisations working on humanitarian assistance and recovery, and to improve the performance level of the organisations so that they comply with international standards of humanitarian action.

Description of activities

The Alliance attempts to achieve its aims through dialogue, exchanging information and setting the environment for NGO activity.
