Youth Africa and Peace was created by young girls and boys from the South Kivu territories of Fizi and Uvira with the aim of blocking the political manipulation of youth. Also it is to bring this youth to get involved in the peace process in order to avoid their participation in the armed groups that destabilize the Province and more particularly the two territories.

With our organization we have already worked on two major projects, namely the peace letter campaign with the international organization Peace Youth Group - IPYG KOREA, which consisted in sensitizing communities to write letters to ask for peace at the local level but also at the world level, the letters were addressed to the heads of state of the world.  The second is a local initiative to strengthen ethnic cooperation in the Fizi territory between the BABEMBE and BANYAMULENGE. The project is called "Peace Tree", which consists of two people from two different communities planting a tree and monitoring its growth.
