Hannah Vaughan-Lee

Hannah Vaughan-Lee is a doctoral candidate in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London. She is also the current convenor of the SOAS undergraduate course on Development & Conflict. For the last ten years, Hannah has worked with a wide range of human rights and humanitarian organisations, including Human Rights Watch, Medécins Sans Frontières, the International Federation of the Red Cross, the American Red Cross, the World Food Programme and the Norwegian Refugee Council among others. While working on and in a number of different conflict-affected and developing countries, she has focused both as an academic and practitioner on Africa and the Horn of Africa in particular.
