Civil Society Coalition for Peace and Democratic Development in Cote d’Ivoire (COSOP-CI) was established in 2004 by a group of NGOs supporting human rights, democracy, and peacebuilding. The organisation focuses on two areas:

  • Democracy and good governance
  • Consolidation of peace and social cohesion

The COSOPCI mission is to participate actively in the consolidation of an open, democratic and peaceful society in Côte d'Ivoire. The objectives of the organisation are to:

  • Promote and consolidate democracy, good governance and human rights
  • Strengthen social cohesion
  • Contribute to the organization of free, fair, open and transparent elections in Côte d'Ivoire
  • Strengthen the capacity of member organizations
  • Establish constructive partnerships with civil society organizations and African think tank with strong expertise in democracy, good governance.
