DRI promotes citizenship and democracy as a way to ensure peace in South Sudan.

Dialogue and Research Institute (DRI), was established in 2015 as a transformative human rights, peacebuilding, justice and advocate of democracy with all communities and national institutions to effect change in public policies. It is a peacebuilding, human rights and advocacy organisation that promotes active citizenship and democracy as a way to ensure peaceful coexistence, equality and respect of human rights and protection through rule of law and of evidences in South Sudan. Through research and advocacy on a range of issues - such as gender equality, transitional justice or Dealing with the Past and democratic participation - DRI hopes to strengthen democracy, accountability and promote Truth seeking, reconciliation and healing of societies, victims of conflict and communal violence.

Vision: A Just, peaceful, democratic and prosperous society where equality, dignity and human rights flourish. 

Mission: DRI exists to promote resilience and empower communities for peace, justice and human rights, sustaining diversity, and freedom from all forms of harm.

Goal: To contribute to the advancements for peace building, transitional Justices, governance and development of public policies and effective democratic governance, economics justice, gender equity, human rights protection and healthy environment for all and enhancing

human security conceptualisation.

On 13 July 2015, DRI partnered with the UNDP to facilitate a public debate on accountability and Security Sector Reform in South Sudan.
