Hands of Peace is an interfaith group empowering young people to be leaders of change.
Last updated: November 2017

Hands of Peace is an interfaith organisation that empowers young people to raise their voices as leaders of change. Through the power of dialogue, Palestinians, Israelis and Americans partner to pursue peace, equality, freedom and justice. Founded after the atrocities of September 11, over the last 15 years, the organisation has strategically grown and is now in Chicago, San Diego and Israel/Palestine.

The Hands of Peace journey begins with an 19 day intensive summer program, where American, Israeli and Palestinian youth participate in an intensive dialogue process led by trained facilitators. Their programming continues throughout the year with our alumni seminars and alumni events. Participants are encouraged to return the following year and participate in their XL leadership training, and provide peer support, inspiration and kinship to new participants. Their summer program is fully supported by host families in the community who open their homes to participants and staff members.

As an organisation, Hands of Peace offers multiple narrative trips for both alumni and supporters.
