Mozaik's mission is to identify, facilitate and accelerate the development of enterprising young leaders, so that they could achieve their full potential and use untapped resources with the aim of fostering socioeconomic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Mozaik Foundation is made of a team of enthusiastic professionals whose aim is to encourage young people to achieve excellent results through variety of programmes that contribute to economic and social stability of BiH. Mozaik Foundation was established in 2002 with the aim of encouraging the development of rural communities. Today, Mozaik is a leading social enterprise in the region, whose vision is an economically and socially strong BiH. The organisation’s broader mission is to create an ‘army’ of young and enterprising people, who will create jobs and act as role models for those 70% young people who dream of leaving the country.

The organisation’s mission and objectives are attained through the programmes: YouthBanks and All Inclusive. Through grant-awards, Mozaik supports informal youth groups and organisations whose actions foster economic and social benefits. 

In 2012 Mozaik supported 326 activities, the value of which can be estimated to around 1,125,000 EUR, 48% of which were collected from local resources, i.e. the state institutions, local entrepreneurs, municipal authorities and individuals. Through their work in the community, Mozaik involved over 5,700 volunteers totaling around 105,199 volunteer hours. These results confirm that Mozaik is the leader in mobilizing local resources.
