Established during the height of the wars that raged in the eastern region of DR Congo in the wake of 2000s; Peace & Conflict Resolution Institute (PCRI) has worked to resolve conflicts and promote human rights and inclusive societies through a strategy of deterring violence and promoting human rights, governance and peace education. PCRI fervently upholds the values of treating people with respect, acknowledging diversity among people and welcoming different ideas and points of view.
Back in 2007, 2013, 2017 we run a projects that aimed to restore peace among farmers and pastoralists in Fizi territory. PCRI conducted 3 projects about grassroots communities empowerment to prevent violent conflict in Masisi and Fizi. Peace education project was run in Beni to stop violent armed conflicts. and many more followed.
