TNC was established to facilitate cooperation, collaboration and communication among organisations working for peace and development in FATA, Pakistan
Last updated: December 2019

Tribal NGOs Consortium (TNC) was formed in 2009 to help other organisations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) work toward sustainable peace and development for the region.

The consortium was established in order to facilitate cooperation, collaboration, and communication among FATA-based organisations for the promotion of peace and development. TNC is affiliated with the Peace Movement (Amn Tehreek), Pakistan NGOs Forum, Strengthening Participatory Organisation (SPO), and South Asia Partnership-Pakistan, to work for peace in FATA.

In Peshawar, in 2009, TNC brought together FATA parliamentarians, political and social personalities, journalists, lawyers, women, students and young people - in total over 300 people.

TNC member organisations have organised seminars, demonstrations, press conferences, walks, consultations, dialogues on peace, development and reforms in FATA.
