Last updated: December 2013

The Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace was the first, and remains the largest, research institute in Israel and the Middle East to examine conflict resolution and propose peaceful solutions for the region. The Truman Institute offers dynamic programs and activities to help foster understanding, discussion and debate on the challenges facing Israelis and Palestinians and the citizens of the developing world.

Each year, over 70 researchers fill the halls of Truman working in one of its four research units on the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The Truman Institute supports not only veteran academics well known in their fields, but students working on their doctoral dissertation, young post-doctoral students working on new and exciting projects, research groups that bring together similar interests and international visiting scholars.
