Ameya is the South Asia Projects Manager at Conciliation Resources. A lawyer with dual qualifications to practise in India and England. she has a long-standing passion for politics and conflict transformation. Prior to joining Conciliation Resources in July 2013, she was a voluntary researcher with Inter-Mediate, a London-based conflict transformation organisation, where her research focused on armed insurgencies in India. She has practiced Law at Linklaters, a global law firm in London, and was an active participant in various pro bono mediation initiatives. She has also been Legal Adviser to the Prince’s Trust, a youth charity in the UK, and has worked with various civil society organisations in India. Her first experience of peacebuilding was at the age of sixteen when she founded, ‘Nirbhay’, a youth movement for peace in Kashmir - the Kashmir conflict continues to be one of her primary subjects of interest. Other than English, she speaks Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
