Monica Curca is a strategist and social entrepreneur leveraging information, communications and technology for social change. She is the founder of various organizations including PAX Manifesto, Back2Back Marketing and Transmedia for Good: SoCal group in Los Angeles. Monica has worked as a strategic communications and media consultant for international peacebuilding and development agencies. She enjoys on the ground field-work, training and building capacity of civil society organizations and grassroots communities which she has done in over a dozen countries. Her focus has been designing innovative new media and digital technology projects and advising/training all aspects of the development project cycle on peacebuilding, democracy and governance projects including; project design/proposal writing, project management, advising on and implementing work plans, monitoring and evaluation systems and client and stakeholder relations. Some of the organizations she has worked with are: United Methodist Charity on Relief, The Center for Citizen Peacebuilding at University of California Irvine, and the Center for Civil Society and Democracy in Syria. In addition to having over 15 years of strategic communications experience, Monica holds two Masters Degrees from the Heller School for Social Policy in Management at Brandeis University, in Sustainable International Development and Conflict and Coexistence.
